If you have been raised with Christ, then you need to be setting your mind on things above (Colossians 3:1-4). You need to have a spiritual rather than a material focus.

When your mind is focused on things above you will put to death the following sins (Colossians 3:5-9):

1. Fornication 2. Uncleanness 3. Passion 4. Evil Desire 5. Covetousness

6. Anger 7. Wrath 8. Malice 9. Filthy Language 10. Lying

But, even while you are putting those sins to death in your life, you are putting on the following qualities (Colossians 3:12-14):
1. Tender Mercies 2. Kindness 3. Humility 4. Meekness 5. Longsuffering

6. Bearing with One Another 7. Forgiving One Another 8. Love
When you put sin to death in your life, and add Christian characteristics to your life, then the following will be allowed into your heart (Colossians 3:15-17): 1. The Peace of God 2. Gratitude 3. The Word of Christ 4. Grace

When you set your mind on things above, put sin to death in your life, and put on Christian qualities you will be ready to meet Christ when He returns and you will appear with Him in glory. (Colossians 3:4).
